چکیده

Abstract This study evaluated the dental displacement in dentures included different flasks and processed by Australian cycle modified or microwave. Metal pins were placed on teeth as reference for measurements: a) Incisal edge of maxillary mandibular central incisors, buccal cusp vestibular first premolars, mesiobuccal cusps second molars; b) Incisor to incisor, premolar molar molar; c) Left incisor left right molar, d) Vertical. Dentures divided according (n=10): G1- Metal; G2- HH bimaxillary metal; G3-Microwaves; G4- microwaves. For G1 G2, polymerization at 65ºC/30 min, flame quenched 30 heating boiling water 1 h. G3 G4, microwave (20 min/140 W 5 min/560 W). Comparator microscope with digital camera analytical unit assessed measurements before after denture polymerization. The final distance was made subtracting processing from processing. value difference submitted 2-way ANOVA, considering flask type type. Maxillary showed greater when compared denture. Flask types interaction similar between In conclusion, promoted cured cycles effect teeth. Greater occurred

Effect of Flask Types, Post-pressing Times and Base Regions on the Adaptation of Complete Dentures

This study aimed to evaluate the effect of flask types, post-pressing times and base regions on the base adaptation of maxillary and mandibular complete dentures. Denture bases were waxed in stone casts and randomly divided into six groups (n=10), according to conventional and double flasks inclusion, and immediate and 6 hours post-pressing times. Denture bases were polymerized in water bath at...

Dimensional stability of distances between teeth in complete dentures comparing microwave polymerization and conventional cycles

Aim: This study investigated the tooth movement of complete dentures processed by microwave activation and conventional processing method in water bath. Methods: Twenty maxillary complete dentures were fabricated and randomly assigned to 4 groups (n=5): Group I: Classico conventional heat-curing acrylic resin processed by microwave polymerization; Group II: Classico resin processed in water bat...

Aggregate Size Distribution Indices Influenced by Different Types/Managements of Plant Residues under Field Conditions

1- INTRODUCTION Nowadays, environmental aspects of soil erosion are specifically considered by researchers. In this regard, secondary (aggregate) particle size distribution (SPSD) is so important in different issues such as nutrient loss, pollutant transport and carbon cycle. Aggregate size distribution is known as the representative of soil structure, which is by itself regarded as a dynami...

Effect of polymerization techniques on vertical dimension and tooth position in complete dentures.

Due to the changes in the composition and processing of acrylic resins, it seems appropriate to evaluate the influence of polymerization methods about the alteration of occlusal vertical dimension and the horizontal positioning of artificial teeth of total dentures. For this, 64 specimens were made, simulating a maxillary total denture waxed from a standard maxillary denture. The experimental s...
